The rich got richer Saturday evening.

Kentucky already had the No. 1 rated recruiting class in the country for 2013, and it only got better when five-star center Dakari Johnson picked the Wildcats.

At 6-foot-10 and 250 pounds, Johnson is the top-rated low post player in the 2013 class. He has a good combination of size, skill, and desire that separates him from his peers. Now Johnson will be taking that talent to the SEC.

Johnson picked Kentucky over Syracuse and Georgetown, who also took it down to the wire for his services.

At the end of the day, his relationship with the Kentucky staff proved to be the difference.

"Kentucky is a very good school," Johnson said last month when discussing his three finalists. "I like John Calipari. Not just because of all the one-and-dones, but how he develops his players. If you go there, you really have to work hard."

Johnson becomes the sixth member of the class for the Wildcats and the fourth five-star recruit. Also in the class for Kentucky are Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, James Young, Marcus Lee, and Derek Willis. This class should easily finish as the highest ranked in the country for 2013.
