Without Pavel Datsyuk, the Detroit Red Wings have managed just four goals in their first two games.

For early comparison's sake, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils have each scored 11 in their first two games.

"I think our group's been more than fine," Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "I think we've played hard, we've played well. We've been in 10 games now, we haven't scored. So, eight in the exhibition and then two in the regular season and you don't score real easy so far. We're looking forward to Pavel to get back one day and get guys back in their right spots and might score a little more."

The Wings have scored one power-play goal in six chances, Gustav Nyquist's in the first game against the Boston Bruins.

"Just like any power play, we want to score goals to give our team a boost, obviously," Nyquist said. "We have four forwards on the power play and I'm more of a defensive -- I don't know if you can call it that, but I'm on the back end there, coming down the back side a little bit to be ready for a pass. New position for me but we practiced it in preseason a lot. We've been practicing it in practices as well so getting used to it more and more."

Captain Henrik Zetterberg is not overly concerned about the lack of offense so far.

"I think the work ethic has been really good," Zetterberg said. "I think in the Boston game we came out from the first puck drop and worked really hard, same thing in the Anaheim game. They had a little at the start of the second when they took over but other than that I think we played a good game."
