NEW YORK (AP) Scarly Charly beat Marriedtothemusic by a neck Thursday to win the $80,700 allowance feature in a four-horse field at Belmont Park.
It was the second win in the last three starts for the 6-year-old gelding trained by Mike Hushion and ridden by apprentice Eric Cancel. The time was 1:16.55 for 6 1/2 furlongs.
Scarly Charly paid $3.80 and $2.30 as the 4-5 favorite. Marriedtothemusic returned $3. Lucky Lotto was third, followed by Tenango. There was no show wagering.
