Saturdayâ€™s Cardinals â€“ Cubs game start time moved to 3:15 PM

ST. LOUIS -- The Cardinals-Cubs game on Saturday has been moved up to 3:15 p.m. CT from 6:15 pm. due to a rather nasty spell of weather potentially making its way through St. Louis on Saturday night.

The latest weather forecast for Saturday calls for widespread rain and thunderstorms to move into the St. Louis metropolitan area by early evening and increasing in intensity during the night.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our fans, but believe this is the best alternative given what we know now," said Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III. "We hope that by making this announcement tonight that we give our fans enough notice to adjust their schedules to attend this important game."

Busch Stadium gates will open tomorrow at 1:15 p.m.
