MADISON, Wis. — Incoming Wisconsin recruit Sam Dekker has been chosen as one of 26 players to attend the 2012 USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team Training camp.

The camp will be held from June 5-12 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Player invitations were issued by the USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team committee.

Dekker scored 40 points in the title game, including the game-winning 3-pointer from the right corner with two seconds remaining. He averaged 32.5 points per game during his senior season and finished as the fourth-leading scorer in Wisconsin high school history.

Finalists will be selected by the USA Men's Junior National Team Committee following the first three or four days of training camp. The official, 12-member 2012 USA Men's U18 National Team will be chosen prior to the team's departure for the FIBA Americas U18 Championship, held June 16-20 in Sao Sabastao do Paraiso, Brazil. Players eligible for the competition must have been born on or after Jan. 1, 1994.

Other top Class of 2012 prospects participating in the training camp include Kentucky-bound center Nerlens Noel and shooting guard Archie Goodwin, Michigan State-bound Gary Harris, point guard James Robinson (Pittsburgh) and shooting guard Rasheed Sulaimon (Duke). Those players suited for the USA at the 15th annual Nike Hoop Summit.

Florida coach Bill Donovan will serve as the team's head coach, with Gonzaga's Mark Few and VCU's Shake Smart serving as assistants.
