Call it Southern inhospitality.
There's no love lost between the Falcons and the Saints. Case in point: The welcome New Orleans players say they received upon arriving at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport for Thursday night's game at the Georgia Dome.
Members of the Saints say their team charter bus was egged ... by airport employees.
Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel tweeted, "Wow, as we're boarding buses on the Tarmac @ Atlanta airport, we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!"
Then there was this tweet from tight end Jimmy Graham: "Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! "RISE Up" smh."
The Saints have dominated the rivalry, winning 11 of the last 13 games, including New Orleans' 31-27 win on Nov. 11, which was the Falcons' lone loss of the season.
After that game, Saints linebacker Scott Shanle told Yahoo! Sports the Falcons are "like our little brothers."
The Falcons (10-1) have lost their last three home matchups with the Saints (5-6). The Falcons' last home win against their NFC South rival was a 34-20 decision on Nov. 9, 2008.
Safe to say, certain Atlanta residents are ready for that streak to end on Thursday.
