Saints sign LB Davis ahead of training camp

The Saints added some depth to the team's linebacker corps Monday by signing Sacramento State product Todd Davis.
The 6'1", 230-pound California native was the Hornets middle linebacker his senior year, posting a team-high 131 tackles (54 solo), five sacks, 10 stops for a loss, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, four passes defensed and one blocked kick. Davis also captured his second straight team defensive MVP Award, FCS second-team All-America honors by the Sports Network and first-team All-Big Sky Selection.
To make room for Todd Davis, the Saints waived cornerback A.J. Davis, who signed with the Saints after the 2012 Draft out of Jacksonville State, but only appeared in one game on special teams.
The Saints report to training camp at The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia at the end of July.
