Saints defense zeroed in on Romo, Murray

When the Saints landed in Dallas, defensive captain Junior Galette took to social media to send out a precursor of what he hopes is in the Saints future for Sunday night.
Galette wrote on Twitter and Instagram: "Almost Dat Time" and combined several photos of himself sacking Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
It's not just Romo who's on the Saints' radar screen though. The defense is well aware of running back DeMarco Murray, the NFL's leading rusher through 3 weeks with 385 yards.
"I think that when he's been healthy, people in our league that know the player know that he is someone that has the strength and power," head coach Sean Payton said. "I think what's also impressive is he is playing on all of the downs. He is playing the base offense. When they get to third down, you see him in there as a pass protector. He is receiving a lot of snaps and has been a big weapon for them."
The Saints defense ranks 25th overall as it struggles with communicating, but the Black and Gold has been more stout versus the run. The Saints run defense ranks 9th in the NFL, allowing 101.3 yards per game.
Murray will provide the biggest test yet however, as the Saints attempt to make the Cowboys one-dimensional.
Murray ran the ball 24 times for 100 yards last Sunday in a come-from-behind win against the St. Louis Rams. The Cowboys 3rd-Round Pick from 2011 has now recorded at least 100 yards on the ground in each of his first three games in 2014:
Murray is the first Cowboy to amass at least 100 yards per game in the first three contests of the season since Emmitt Smith had 100+ yards in four straight games to begin the 1995 campaign.
The chink in Murray's armor: he's proven prone to fumbles. The University of Oklahoma product has lost three fumbles this season so far.
