Saguaro QB Rubenzer earns player-of-week honor

Huge night for Saguaro's Luke Rubenzer, who passed for 370 yards and three TDs and rushed for 152 yards and two more scores in a win over Thunderbird.



--Josh Eckley from Marcos rushed for 117 yards including the game-winning TD versus Chaparral. He also threw a TD pass.

--Tre Grant from Centennial had 141 yards and three TDs passing in just over a half of play versus Millennium. He also rushed for 63 yards.

--Highland's Blake Young had three passing TDs and one rushing in a win over Gilbert.

--Fairfax QB Deylan Jones had 3 passing andf 1 rushing TD against La Joya.

--Empire QB Grayson Weeks passed for 231 yards and five TDs.

--Darell Garretson from Chandler had three TDs passes versus Maryvale.

--O'Connor's Jared Melson had 212 yards and three TDs in a win over North Canyon.


--Jalen Ortiz from Centennial had two rushing TDs, one receiving and an interception versus Millennium.

--Pinnacle's Josh Hoekstra set a school record rushing for 295 yards and three TDs against Cactus Shadows.

--In a loss to Saguaro, Thunderbird's Kani Benoit rushed for 205 yards and three TDs.

--Garett Craig from Mountain Pointe had five TDs against Mesa.

--Big rushing performances in Mountain Ridge-Basha game: Three touchdowns apiece for Basha junior Rajhan Meiwether and Mountain Ridge's Treshawn Favors.

--In win over St. Mary's, Ironwood's Mike Alexander had 203 and two TDs while teammate Jett Robertson had 268 yards and five scores.

--Westview's Seivion Morris had five TDs in a win over Tolleson.

--Prescott's Brady Mengarelli had four rushing TDs, one receiving and one passing.

--Shadow Ridge's Chris Salsberry had 213 yards and three TDs in a win over Youngker.

--Greenway's Mark Dogbah had 246 yards and five TDs Friday night.
--Peoria's Ira Rojas had 283 yards and three TDs against Moon Valley



--Elroy Masters from Sunrise Mountain scored on all three of his catches, going for 168 yards.



--Desert Ridge's offensive line paved the way from 285 yards and six TDs. J.J. Husar and Tarek Morrison had 100 yards each.

*The Chandler defense had 2 safeties and returned a fumble for a score against Maryvale.
