Russia's Elistratov, Britain's Christie win at short track

Russia's Semen Elistratov and Britain's Elise Christie won 1,000-meter races Saturday in World Cup short-track speedskating in Erzurum, Turkey.

Elistratov was timed in 1 minute, 25.237 seconds. Sjinkie Knegt of the Netherlands was second in 1:25.247 and Sin Da Woon of South Korea was third in 1:25.423.

Christie won the race in 1:31.513 and was followed by Canada's Kassandra Bradette in 1:32.346 and South Korea's Shim Suk Hee in 1:32.659.

In a women's 1,500 race, Italy's Arianna Fonata was first in 2:28.590. She was followed by two Canadians - Marianne St-Gelias in 2:28.913 and Kim Boutin in 2:28.997.
