LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) FINA says Russian swimmer Olga Kluchnikova tested positive for a banned diuretic at the Russian national championships in May and has been serving a doping ban.
The substance, acetazolamide, can also be used as a masking agent to hide the presence of other banned drugs.
FINA says Kluchnikova's six-month ban imposed by the Russian body expires this week.
Swimmers from Russia have failed a series of doping tests ahead of next year's swimming world championships in Kazan from July 24 to Aug. 9.
