Remember last week, when Houston Rockets rookie Royce White went on Twitter to inform everybody he had reached an agreement with the Rockets that, because of his mental health issues, he was going to leave the team's Developmental League affiliate and return to Houston to basically shut it down and prepare for next season? Remember that?
Well: Nope.
White had no such agreement with the Rockets, it turns out. It turns out White left the Rio Grande Valley Vipers without the organization's permission and he's headed back to the Vipers.

It's been stuff like that virtually without interruption since the Rockets drafted White, who suffers from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, with the 16th pick in last June's NBA Draft. White has been less than a reliable attendee of practices and other team events, and it seems he really really doesn't want to play in the D-league. He outright refused to go the first time the Rockets assigned him to the Vipers, but relented after a three-week suspension in January. White, a 6-foot-8 forward who played in college at about 260 pounds, has reportedly swelled to nearly 300 and is averaging 9.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in 12 games for the Vipers.
