KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Will the Sports Illustrated cover jinx strike again? The Royals hope not.
The Royals are featured on one of Sports Illustrated's four regional covers this week in the magazine's annual baseball preview issue. The Indians, Mariners and Nationals are on the other covers.

Missouri, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico will receive the Royals cover.
This is the Royals' fifth Sports Illustrated cover in the last seven months, with three coming during their postseason run and a fourth with Billy Butler in late August. In the 29 years prior to last season, Kansas City had only two covers, one with James Shields pictured, the other with Zack Greinke.
