When the Kansas City Royals head to Wrigley Field for a three-game series starting today against the Chicago Cubs, two offenses on opposite ends of the spectrum will square off.

Here are some numbers from STATS LLC:

2015 OFFENSIVE STATISTICS (MLB RANKS)

Statistic Kansas City Royals
Chicago Cubs
Runs per game 4.67 (second)
4.11 (19th)
Batting average .281 (first) .241 (24th)

However, the Royals' bats have been fairly quiet of late -- in particular, during their current four-game losing streak:

Other notes of interest from STATS LLC:

• Center fielder Lorenzo Cain is among the Royals struggling at the plate, especially since he drove in five runs against the Yankees on May 15. He hasn't driven in a run since.

• The Cubs ranks second in the majors with 43 stolen bases (two behind Cincinnati), but Royals catcher Salvador Perez has baseball's third-lowest stolen-base percentage allowed (56.5). Only Toronto's Russell Martin (54.8) and the Yankees' Brian McCann (56.3) are doing better.
