Since opening as a 5/6 favorite (-120) the line has held pretty steady with the Kansas City Royals picked to defeat the San Francisco Giants in the World Series, which begins Tuesday at 8:07 p.m. ET on FOX.
That figure comes from Bovada.lv, where the line has shifted ever so slightly to reflect the Royals as 20/23 favorites (-115) and the Giants narrow underdogs, roughly the same figures Pinnacle, 5Dimes and others are offering as of this writing on Monday.
So even if these "aren't great World Series teams" as Rob Neyer writes, the squads are look pretty even, at least according to the oddsmakers.
If that makes you want to back the Giants, you'll need to have the nerve to go against the pixie-dusted Royals, who've ripped off eight wins in a row in their perfect 8-0 postseason.
