Nine USC Trojan commits played in the 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The number was impacted by a couple of local players who announced their commitments to the Trojans during the game.
Ykili Ross, 6-1, 185-pounds from Riverside Poly, and Marvell Tell, a 6-2, 184-pound safety from Crespi, each announced their pledge to USC earlier Saturday in San Antonio.
The commitments are a huge shot in the arm for a Trojan secondary, especially at the safety position, that could use some bodies.
USC has just three scholarship safeties returning next season, and that includes Su'a Cravens who spent a huge chunk of time in 2014 playing the sam linebacker.
Both Ross and Tell could see time early. Ross, a four-star recruit and top-100 player in the country, according to Scout.com, primarily played wide receiver during Saturday's Army game. He said, during his announcement, that he intends to play some wide receiver in addition to safety once he steps on campus.

Tell is a four-star recruit and the No. 3 ranked safety in the country, according to Scout.com.
With the announcements of Ross and Tell, Scout elevates USC's 2015 recruiting class to No. 5 in the country.
USC now has 21 commits in the 2015 class and, with 24 available scholarships, leave just three spots heading into National Signing Day. The NCAA allows a maximum of 25 scholarships per class, however, blue-shirt kicker Matt Boermeester counts toward the 2015 class.
USC head coach Steve Sarkisian says USC scholarships will be in the "mid-70s" next season.
