Charles Ross ran for a career-high 215 yards and set a school record with five rushing touchdowns as Rice dominated Louisiana Tech 52-14 on Saturday night in Houston.
Ross, who had 27 carries, topped 100 yards rushing for the fourth straight game as Rice (7-3, 5-1 Conference USA) won for the fourth time in five games. The Owls had season highs of 415 rushing yards and 582 overall.
Louisiana Tech (4-6, 3-3) had 327 total yards but failed to score until Ryan Higgins' 74-yard touchdown pass midway through the third quarter made it 31-7.
