Rookies get playing time in Thunder summer league game

The Thunder got their rookies some action and their veterans some playing time in the team's first Summer League game in Orlando, Fla.
They also got a loss.
Oklahoma City fell to Memphis, 84-63 in the first of five games for the Thunder in Orlando.
Rookie forward Mitch McGary had eight points and three rebounds, rookie guard Josh Huestis had two points and two rebounds and rookie Semaj Christon had eight points and four rebounds. The Thunder were led by Perry Jones and Jeremy Lamb who had a combined 29 points.
While McGary is expected to back up Steven Adams and Kendrick Perkins in the middle, Lamb and Jones are looking to secure more playing time this upcoming season. Lamb is a contender to get the starting guard spot after Thabo Sefolosha left the team and joined Atlanta.
Lamb was 4-of-12 shooting and missed all but one of his seven 3-point tries.
Adams suffered a shin contusion in the first half, but started the second half. He played 17 minutes and had seven points.
The Thunder take on Philadelphia at 4 p.m. Sunday.
