Ronda Rousey makes Forbes' '30 Under 30' list, for inexplicable reasons

Ronda Rousey keeps racking up the mainstream achievements. If only this one made some sense.

The UFC women'€™s bantamweight champion was selected for the second-straight year to Forbes magazine'€™s 30 under 30, in the sports category. The publication recognizes the most influential people in the world under the age of 30. Rousey picked up a similar honor from Time last month.

It's always cool for a UFC fighter to be named to such a high-profile list, but Forbes did the worst possible job explaining why Rousey is influential. The magazine listed her winning an Olympic medal in judo. Uh, that was in 2008.

And the other accomplishment it noted? Rousey was No. 29 on the Maxim Hot 100. Seriously, guys? That'€™s the best you can do? How about the fact that she's the reason the UFC brought women in? Or that she'€™s the UFC women'€™s bantamweight champion? Maybe they didn'€™t know she filmed two movies before going into training camp for her title fight last month with Miesha Tate.

None of these things are hard to find. Try a Google search, Forbes. It'€™s amazing what you'd come up with.
