Romo's wife: We like to escape to movies after a loss

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off arguably the best season of the Tony Romo era.
Despite winning the NFC East, 2014 ended with another frustrating loss and another year without a championship.
In a recent interview with KXAS-TV NBC 5, Romo's wife, Candice, opened up on how her family deals with her husband being one of the most criticized players in the NFL over the past decade.
"He handles it way better than I do," she said. "Sometimes I'm like, 'Why aren't you crying? You should be sad that those people are saying things about you.' But as a wife, I think what's hard and sad is I love him so much and what he does and everything about him that you want everybody else to love your husband just as much as you do.
"People don't get to see his funny side and off-the-field personality and what he does at home."
Romo has taken much of the blame for most of the Cowboys' losses during his career. How do he and his wife handle it during the week?
"He wants to escape after a loss," she said. "Usually our escape of choice is movies. We are big movie people."
And while many fans vent their anger on social media, apparently they tend to be different when they encounter Romo in public.
"They're nice to your face," Candice said. "People are usually really nice. Even if they thought something negative, most people are really respectful."
