GREEN BAY, Wis. — One day after Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers signed the biggest contract in NFL history, his younger brother Jordan was not one of the 254 players selected in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Soon after the conclusion of the draft, however, the Vanderbilt quarterback signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent.
"So proud to be a Jacksonville Jaguar," Jordan Rodgers tweeted. "Opportunity is all I can ask for. Excited to get back on the field."
Jacksonville currently has two quarterbacks on its roster, Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne. The first goal for the younger Rodgers will be to outperform undrafted quarterback Matt Scott (Arizona), whom the Jaguars also signed after the draft.
As a senior at Vanderbilt, Rodgers completed 59.9 percent of his passes for 2,539 yards, with 15 touchdown passes and five interceptions.
