Rob Ryan gets shout-out from Cowboys' owner

Jerry Jones gave a special shout-out during his Friday morning radio show. The Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager was talking about his team's improved speed on defense when he decided to point out the work that has been done by second-year defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.
"Hats off to him," Jones said on 105.3 [KRLD-FM] The Ticket's Elf and Slater show. "He's had a year that was a come-to-Jesus year for him. He really has had to get in and look at what he could do better and look at what we could do better in the context of his philosophy. He's made adjustments. He's done the things that great coaches do."
In Wednesday night's 24-17 victory over New York, Ryan's defense held the Giants to 269 total yards of offense. In two losses to the Giants last season, the Cowboys defense allowed 947 total yards and the Giants averaged 34 points per game.
