GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Former Green Bay Packers players James Jones and Charles Woodson will be back at Lambeau Field during the 2014 preseason.

Though the Packers open their preseason schedule on the road against the Tennessee Titans and the St. Louis Rams, it's Green Bay's first home preseason game against the Oakland Raiders that could be most interesting.

Just five months after Jones signed with Oakland, the 30-year-old wide receiver will return to Lambeau Field for a nationally televised Friday night game on Aug. 22. Jones played the first seven years of his career for the Packers before exiting this offseason when the unrestricted free agent was given a three-year, $11 million offer from the Raiders.

Woodson also played seven seasons for the Packers but signed with his original team, the Raiders, last offseason after Green Bay released him. Former Packers defensive lineman C.J. Wilson, who signed with Oakland this offseason, will be playing against his old team, too.

Green Bay's preseason finale at home against the Kansas City Chiefs is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 28. This is the fifth consecutive year in which the Packers and Chiefs have met in the last week of preseason.

Green Bay's first two preseason games still have tentative dates. The Packers will play at Tennessee to begin preseason sometime between Aug. 7-10, while their second preseason game will be played at St. Louis between Aug. 14-18.

This is the third year in a row in which none of Green Bay's preseason opponents will also be regular-season opponents.
