The Oklahoma football team signed 24 players Wednesday on National Signing Day and also landed a wide receivers coach.

Ex-Washington State receivers coach, Dennis Simmons, who worked under Mike Leach and new OU offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley, will be joining the Sooners, according to multiple reports.

Simmons helped develop San Francisco 49er receiver Michael Crabtree and now will re-join Riley to help install the "Air Raid" offense.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops fired offensive coordinators Jay Norvell and Josh Heupel after the season and hired Riley last month from East Carolina. Meanwhile, the Sooners also signed receiver Dahu Green of Westmoore (Okla.) High Wednesday. Green was formerly committed to Washington State.

Simmons was at Texas Tech for 10 seasons and spent the past three at Washington State. Last season, Washington State led the country in passing offense. Simmons also coached at East Carolina under Riley.
