Dan Haren will report to Miami Marlins spring training in Jupiter, Fla. on Feb. 20, according to multiple outlets.

The Marlins acquired the right-hander in December from the Los Angeles Dodgers as part of the Dee Gordon trade, knowing that Haren strongly preferred to remain with a team on the West Coast.

The 34-year-old Haren remains steadfast in this desire and is still hoping to be traded due to his family obligations in Southern California, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

As part of the trade agreement, the Dodgers would pay Haren's $10 million salary regardless of whether or not he pitches for Marlins. If the Marlins trade Haren or if he retires, Miami is believed to have received cash considerations upwards of $10 million.

Haren was 13-11 last season with a 4.02 ERA in 186 innings pitched.
