BEREA --According to multiple reports, the Browns have signed first-round pick Joe Haden to a five-year contract worth around $50 million.

Haden's signing came after he missed the start of full-squad, open to the public training camp Saturday morning. The team practices again at 5:30 this afternoon.

The Browns had previously signed their other seven draft picks.

Haden, 21, is still new to the position but brings athleticism and toughness to a secondary that needs both. He started as a true freshman at the University of Florida despite  never playingcornerback until he arrived on campus. He was a two-time All-SEC pick before giving up his final year of eligibility and entering the NFL Draft. The Browns drafted Haden seventh overall in April.
