ARLINGTON, Texas – The off-season shuffling for the Texas Rangers apparently is already starting to take place.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, senior director of player development Tim Purpura is being reassigned within the organization.

Purpura has been the team’s farm director since he was hired on Dec. 2, 2011.

Before coming to Texas, Purpura spent the bulk of his career working in the Houston Astros organization, including nearly four as the club’s general manager.
