"Linsanity" is coming back.

Not to Madison Square Garden, but to the silver screen.

The Jeremy Lin documentary is set to hit theaters across the country on Oct. 4, according to Variety.com.

The film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, depicts the life of Lin from his childhood to his rise in becoming an international sensation with the New York Knicks in 2012.

Variety reports the film will launch in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and 10 to 15 other cities.

The Harvard graduate came out of nowhere to captivate more than the basketball world with improbable performances and game-winning shots in the spring of 2012.

But "Linsanity" didn't last forever in New York.

After the astonishing ride was over that season, Lin joined the Houston Rockets.

The magic could come back with Dwight Howard teaming up on a talented young group primed to win a championship.

Until then, fans will have a chance to relive "Linsanity" at the movies.
