Report: Baylor QB Petty returning for senior season

Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty will return to Waco for his senior season.
"I will definitely be back next year," Petty told KWTX in Waco on Wednesday.
Petty has accounted for 39 touchdowns (28 passing, 11 rushing) and has thrown just two interceptions. He's accounted for 3,557 passing yards while completing 199-of-319 passes entering Saturday's season finale at home against Texas.
Baylor is 10-1, and Petty is the favorite for the Big 12's Offensive Player of the Year award. Next season, the Bears will open up Baylor Stadium on the banks of the Brazos River on campus.
Petty trails only Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston in quarterback rating this season.
Petty, a fourth-year junior, is nearing the end of his first year as the starting quarterback in Art Briles' offense, after waiting behind Robert Griffin III and Nick Florence.
