Reds claim Marshall, designate Rodriguez for assignment

The Reds claimed Cubs right-handed pitcher Brett Marshall off waivers and designated infielder Henry Rodriguez for assignment Wednesday.
Marshall had been in the Yankees' organization since 2008. Appearing in three games in 2013, he had a 4.50 ERA over 12 innings of work.
The Cubs claimed Marshall from the Yankees in December.
Rodriguez played in 21 games with the Reds over the past two seasons, batting .174 with 2 RBI. Bouncing around the minors from 2007-2013, he had a .297 average and .757 OPS.
