Texas outfielder Josh Hamilton, who has been an All-Star each of his five seasons with the Rangers, set an all-time voting record to lead a contingent of seven Rangers players selected for the All-Star Game.

The seven players is a new record for the Rangers. Texas had six All-Stars in 2010.

The Rangers could have another All-Star in Yu Darvish. Darvish wasn't one of the 33 players selected but will be on the fan vote for the 34th spot. Darvish has 10 wins and is among the AL leaders in strikeouts.

Hamilton received more than 11 million votes to break the record set by Toronto's Jose Bautista last year.

The Rangers also had three starters voted in for the first time as Adrian Beltre and Mike Napoli will also start.

Left-hander Matt Harrison was tabbed for his first All-Star Game. Closer Joe Nathan also made the team for the fifth time, but the first since 2009.

Shortstop Elvis Andrus was selected by Texas manager Ron Washington as one of the manager's picks for the team. Ian Kinsler was selected by the players and is an All-Star for the third time.
