St. John Bosco quarterback Re-Al Mitchell was his 'unreal' self once again in a big game for the Braves.

Two weeks after sealing a demolition of the No. 1 seeded Mater Dei Monarchs in the CIF Southern Section title game, Mitchell put in another championship performance against two-time state Open title champs De La Salle.

Racing out to a 42-17 lead by the second half, Mitchell was near perfect in the eventual 56-33 victory going 18 for 20 passing for 191 yards and two touchdowns. While Bosco's dual-threat running attack of Terrance Beasley and Demetrious Flowers combined for five touchdowns.

The state Open title is Bosco's second in four years, as well as their second defeat of De La Salle in the title game. Finishing the year 13-2, Bosco's only losses came to national No. 1 Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas and a league loss to Mater Dei, which they avenged in the CIF-SS title game.
