With one week to go until pitchers and catchers report, the Tampa Bay Rays extended spring training invites to seven minor leaguers, the team announced Monday.

Chief among the invites is outfielder Wil Myers, the key return from the deal with Kansas City that sent pitchers James Shields and Wade Davis to the Royals.

Also showing up in Port Charlotte on Feb. 15 will be first baseman/outfielder Leslie Anderson, infielder Cole Figueroa, right-handed pitchers Matt Nevarez and Jim Paduch, and lefty relievers Jim Patterson and Neil Schenk.

The invitations to the minor leaguers brings Tampa Bay's spring training total to 64, their highest total since 2005, according to the team.
