Ravens photographer tears Achilles, returns to finish game

By Sid Saraf, FOXSports.com Taking photos isn't just fun and games. Did you know the job comes with a risk of serious injury? Just ask Ravens team photographer Phil Hoffman. During Sunday's game at M&T Bank Stadium, Hoffman was standing on the sidelines without a care in the world. Then, disaster struck! Wide receiver Tandon Doss tried to pull down a pass from QB Joe Flacco in the corner of the end zone. He pulled down the ball but came down out of bounds ... and right into Hoffman's knee. Holy cow. Take a look at that collision. Looked ugly, right? That's because it was. Hoffman suffered a torn Achilles tendon, but get this: He came back and finished the game!
What a warrior. What a steel-nerved killer. What a mountain of grizzled manliness. One Ravens player sent his best wishes:
Phil Hoffman will be just fine. Phil Hoffman doesn't care about injuries. If his injury takes too long to heal, Phil Hoffman will rip his leg off and go without. Phil Hoffman just doesn't care. Epic. Questions? Comments? Send them to lacesoutmail@gmail.com and we might respond in our weekly mailbag!
