The Texas Rangers are using their weekend series to try and help the residents of West.

The club will be accepting donations of essential items throughout the three-game series against Seattle. Cash donations will also be accepted.

The items needed most include diapers/wipes, new underwear, blankets, water bottles, gift cards for grocery store or home supply stores, toiletries, sports drinks, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, non-perishable food items, clothing, bedding and pet food.

The club has also teamed with Carter BloodCare for a blood drive Sunday. It will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame. Fans can enter through the Hall of Fame entrance on the concourse behind the lower home run porch.

The club is also sending its new food truck to West on Friday to make food and water donations.
