ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas reliever Joakim Soria begins an injury rehab assignment tonight for Double-A Frisco.

Soria, who missed all of last season because of Tommy John surgery and was also slowed by a strained pectoral muscle this year, is expected to make several appearances for the Roughriders.

Soria is slated to pitch an inning in tonight's game. Soria hasn't pitched in a game since Sept. 11, 2011.

He'll have some big-league company with Frisco. Colby Lewis, who is throwing a bullpen for Texas today, will work out with Frisco while the Rangers are on their road trip to St. Louis and New York.
