Rangers sign Ohlendorf to minor-league deal

DALLAS -- Right-hander Ross Ohlendorf, who missed most of the 2014 season, has signed a minor-league deal with the Texas Rangers that includes an invitation to spring training.
Ohlendorf, 32, was limited to rehab appearances for Washington last season because of a lumbar strain.
He's played for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh, San Diego and Washington over a career that started in 2007. He's 22-33 lifetime with a 4.88 ERA in 124 games, 80 of them starts.
He made 50 starts over a two-year period for Pittsburgh in 2009 and 2010. He went 1-11 in 2010 despite a 4.07 ERA.
