The World Baseball Classic will begin without either Jurickson Profar or Adrian Beltre in it.
Profar told the Rangers over the weekend he wouldn't participate for the Netherlands because it's more important to try and make the Texas club.
Beltre will skip at least the first round of the tournament for the Dominican Republic. Beltre said his right calf got sore when he was working out before spring training and he didn't want to risk it. He'll re-evaluate if the DR makes it past the first round. Beltre said if this were the regular season, he'd be playing for the Rangers.
