Right-hander Neftali Feliz, who went to spring training with plans to regain his job as the Texas Rangers closer, has finally earned his way onto the team's roster.

The Rangers recalled Feliz from Triple-A Round Rock and sent right-hander Ben Rowen back to Triple A to make room for Feliz.

Feliz battled through arm issues and inconsistency with the Express this season. He was 1-1 with a 3.14 ERA in 24 appearances for Round Rock with seven saves. He's found his groove over the last two weeks, pitching nine straight shutout innings over eight outings. Over that stretch opponents hit just .071 against him with nine strikeouts.
