The Texas Rangers agreed to contract with infielder Adam Rosales that will pay him $750,000 next season.
Rosales was eligible for salary arbitration.
Rosales was picked up on waivers by the Rangers from Oakland twice in 2013. For the season, he hit .190 with five home runs, 12 RBI and 15 runs scored in 68 games.
Rosales, 30, was designated for assignment four times in a 34-day span this year. He's a career .219 hitter in 319 major-league games.
In addition to the Rosales deal, the Rangers signed left-hander Aaron Poreda and outfielder Brad Snyder to minor-league deals that include invites to spring training. Poreda missed all of 2013 while recovering from Tommy John surgery. He was a first-round pick of the Chicago White Sox and had brief big-league time with both the White Sox and San Diego Padres.
Snyder has 20 games of big-league experience and spent the 2013 season playing in Triple A for Arizona.
