The Texas Rangers are bringing veteran right-hander Jamey Wright back into the fold, signing the reliever to a minor-league deal that includes an invitation to spring training.

If Wright makes the club he'll earn $1 million in 2015.

Wright, 40, has played for 10 teams in a major-league career that began in Colorado in 1996. He spent the 2014 season pitching in 61 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Wright went 5-4 with a 4.35 ERA in 70 1/3 innings of work. He's pitched in at least 60 games in each of the last four years and the 2014 season was the first since 2010 in which Wright had an ERA higher than 3.72.

Wright spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons with the Rangers, going 12-12 with a 4.41 ERA in 95 appearances.

Wright is 97-130 lifetime with a 4.81 ERA in 719 games. He began his career as a starter with the Rockies but hasn't made a start since he was with the Rangers in 2007.
