Rams QB Foles sets record straight on flight with military member

New St. Louis Rams quarterback Nick Foles has already had to issue a public statement -- but not the kind that is the result of him doing something stupid. It was quite the opposite, in fact.
On Wednesday, NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt tweeted out this:
Which forced Foles to issue this:
"I want to clarify the story that has been reported," Foles said in a statement posted on the Rams' social media accounts. "A few weeks ago I was fortunate to sit next to a young man in the United States Army. Given we flew Southwest Airlines, we were able to select our seats and I simply offered him the seat next to me. We shared a great conversation for the duration of the flight.
"I want to thank the men and women who serve our country. We would not be able to do what we do without you. You are heroes! God Bless!"
Ahh, the power of Twitter. Even when it's good, it's not always right.
