The Raiders used a third-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft on a little known lineman from Hillsdale College. Well, that little known lineman, Jared Veldheer (on left), has added some bulk this offseason. Take a look at this guy. He’s massive. On his Raiders bio, it says that he measures in at 6-foot-8 and weighs 321 pounds. Veldheer has anchored down Oakland’s offensive line over the last three seasons, starting 43 out of 48 games. He goes up against some of the best pass rushers in the AFC West twice a season, including Von Miller, Tamba Hali and Shaun Phillips (free agent). If it truly is the Terrelle Pryor era in Oakland, it’s likely the young QB will have a massive guy protecting his blindside.
