Bryan Price is accomplishing a lot of firsts this year, first year as a manager, first win as a manager, and as of today, first ejection as a manager.
In the first inning of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves, Reds' pitcher Johnny Cueto attempted to pickoff Braves' B.J. Upton. Initially called safe on the field, replay seemed to show that Upton was clearly out.
Following what appeared to be a signal from first baseman Joey Votto, Reds' manager Bryan Price utilized his manager's challenge on the play.
Replay after replay showed by FOX Sports Ohio made it look like an out at first base, but after the officials conferred with New York, they stuck with the call on the field.
Well, even knowing arguing a replayed call would lead to an automatic ejection, Bryan Price got his explanation from the umpire and landed his first managerial ejection. After giving his opinion from the dugout, Reds' pitcher Homer Bailey was also ejected.
This is the first time a Reds manager has been ejected since Dusty Baker in 2011, and the first time a player has been ejected since Brandon Phillips in 2012.

The whole point of implementing this replay system was to get the calls right, and unless as stated in the broadcast New York had a different view than everyone else, then they got this call wrong.
Plus, unlike football, there is no explanation as to whether the call was confirmed or not. So, at times it could just be a case of inconclusive evidence.
But, for Reds fans, the video replay today was plenty conclusive.
The play ultimately did no harm to the Reds, as the Braves failed to score in the inning. But to add to Cincinnati's misery, Atlanta won the game 1-0 in 10 innings.
