Tim Tebow ... in Los Angeles?
Hey, it could happen, if Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have anything to say about it.
On Monday morning, the LA Kiss announced a three-year contract offer to the ex-Heisman winner to play for Los Angeles' Arena Football League squad. Tebow was cut by the New England Patriots before the season began.
Tebow is the first player approached by co-owners Brett Bouchy, Simmons, Stanley and Doc McGhee, according to a release.
If accepted, the contract will need to be approved by both the Arena Football League's Board of Directors and the AFL Players Union.
"Similar to how Kurt Warner blossomed in the NFL after becoming one of the greatest quarterbacks in AFL history, we feel our league is the best place for Tim to refine his skills and gain valuable repetitions. We have tremendous faith in Tim's ability to succeed in the AFL," Bouchy said.
The partnership between the AFL and rock legends, KISS, was announced last month.
"Tim Tebow is one of the most recognized and respected athletes in sport," said Stanley. "His joining us would mean great things for his fans and for our team, especially from a business standpoint. His credibility within the sports arena is paramount and with our commitment to bringing football without compromise back to LA, we’re excited to see how this offer turns out.”
The AFL will mark its 27th season in 2014, as well as the inaugural season for LA Kiss.

"We're excited for the opportunity to see him with an LA KISS uniform on, and for the LA KISS fans to be rockin' their Tebow shirts and jerseys."
