Vinny Prospal may have played over 1000 games between the AHL and NHL, but he's going to get to add some in the Czech Extraliga in 2012.
HC Mountfield of the Czech league announced yesterday that it had signed Prospal as well as All-Star left wing Milan Michalek of Ottawa to a deal. Prospal, 37, has played the better part of 19 seasons between the Hershey Bears, Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators and a number of other squads before signing a one-year deal with the Blue Jackets in 2011.
This is actually Prospal's second stint in his home country. Prospal previously played with HC Mountfield during the last lockout in 2004.
