The city of Seattle is known for being rainy. On Sunday at Safeco Field, however, it was a different kind of rain falling from the sky.
During the seventh inning of Sunday's game between the Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins, dollar bills rained from the sky. Broadcasters from both teams observed in bewilderment, trying to determine where the money was falling from. Meanwhile, Mariners fans were shown scooping the money off the ground -- icing on the cake during their team's 6-4 victory over the Twins.
It was later revealed that the one dollar bills each had a coupon for 10 percent off with the website 5ktailgate.com also printed on the bands around the bills.
That's certainly one way to get the fans' attention.
