A few days ago, America's darling Taylor Swift donned various jerseys on a mock Jumbotron dance cam segment on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. That got us thinking about sports and Swift and the instances of professional athletes proclaiming their love for the 25-year-old singer's music, which are numerous.

No, really. You might not expect professional athletes to fit into Taylor Swift's demographic, but there's a mountain of evidence showing that many of them are just as much fans as the scores of teenage girls across the world. Here's some of the examples we've seen:

Hamlin keeps cruising, can't stop, won't stop moving, and lip-syncing.

Some Canes prefer Swift's old tunes, others can't get "Shake It Off" out of their heads from her latest album "1989."

Speaking of "Love Story," check out what happened last summer when the Twitter accounts for a number of MLB teams posted lyrics to the song, beginning with the Dodgers and Giants.

In January, Indy Star reporter Stephen Holder asked the Colts running back about his music playlist these days. "I listen to a lot of Lil' Wayne. But if it has a good beat, I can listen to it," Tipton said. "That's pretty much it for me. I'll even listen to Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga. Whatever. If it has a good beat, that's what I'm looking for. The words don't matter that much to me."

IAN KENNEDY (SAN DIEGO PADRES)

In 2013, the pitcher turned to Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall's daughter for advice on his walk-up song. “She didn’t want to pick Taylor Swift because it was Taylor Swift, so I said, ‘No that’s exactly what I want. Let’s pick it,'" Kennedy said.

“I’m a pitcher," he said on choosing a song. "So it’s not going to really intimidate the other pitcher.”
