Pow! Twins' Arcia takes fly ball right in the kisser

July has been a tough month for the Minnesota Twins as they have dropped nine of their 10 games to fall 12 games back of division-leading Detroit.

A trip to Tropicana Field in Tampa has not brightened anyone's day, losing the first three games of the four-game series. For left fielder Oswaldo Arcia, it has been even worse.

Arcia was tracking down a fly ball at full speed in foul territory in the bottom of the seventh inning on Tuesday when he lost the ball for a second in the dome's ceiling. Instead of comfortably hitting the web of his glove, the ball smashed into Arcia's face, hitting him right on the mouth.

His night didn't improve much at the plate, going 0 for 4 with a strikeout and seeing his batting average drop below .280 for the first time since June 25.

You know what they say, when it rains it pours.
