The road also got a lot harder because they will have to play without the services of their leading scorer, Eric Gordon, who will be out 3-4 weeks with a sprained right wrist and a small bone chip fracture. Gordon is averaging 24.1 points, eighth-best in the NBA. He was hurt Saturday night in a victory over Golden State.
Are the Clippers going to make the playoffs? I don't know the answer to that. But if you have a sold-out crowd on a Saturday night in Los Angeles against the Golden St. Warriors then you have a team and a franchise in a good spot...playoff spot or not.
